Dorothy A. Welch

Dorothy Ann (nee Stager) Welch age 82, of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 9, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was raised in New Bedford, Mass. and resided in Willingboro for 37 years before moving to Maple Shade. Dorothy was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and AARP. She coached her children's sports teams and was active with the Girl Scouts and the Cub Scouts while raising her family. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, never missing any of her grandchildren's activities. Beloved wife of the late Robert, sister of the late John Stager and his wife Dorothy and her late sister Mary Galipeau. Loving mother of Virginia (Bruce) Graham, Michael (Joan) Welch, Patrick (Kim) Welch, Kathleen (Dave) Gill, Matthew (Polly) Welch, Christopher (Laura) Welch, Carolyn Welch (Craig Scott), Jo Ann Welch, and Stephen (Jen) Welch, cherished grandmother of 23 and dear great grandmother of 7, devoted sister of Jean (Tom) Whitten, Helen Stager, Susan Stager (Barb Olatta), James (Nancy) Stager, her brother-in-law George Galipeau, special nieces Barbara Ann Stager and Paula Christianson and many other nieces and nephews. Dorothy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 14th 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family, Thursday evening 6-9 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade.
