Michael Comegys

Michael Comegys, age 59, passed away suddenly to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was a resident of Moorestown, formerly of Burlington Township. Michael was an optician and the owner of The Spectacle Shoppe, then joining with Eye Care Physicians and Surgeons of NJ. He was a drummer with the praise band at First United Methodist Church, enjoyed various sports, was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, and took pleasure in bird and decoy carving. Beloved and dedicated husband of Susan Comegys, dear son of the late Clarence (Jada) and Patricia (nee Reeves) Comegys, father of Katie (Jay) Grady and Kelli Comegys, devoted brother of Clarice Comegys, Anne Marie Comegys and Darren (Colleen) Comegys, cherished grandfather of Amaya Grady and Wyatt Heritage, and stepfather of Thomas Polite, Christian heritage and J. Kyle (Jonashea) Heritage, and many nieces and nephews. Even in death, Michael helped others through the Gift of Life. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church, 446 Camden Avenue, Moorestown, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Saturday, from 10 am to 11 am at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the above address, or any favorite nature and conservation non-profit organization.
