Chester L. Armstrong, 97, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Cherry Hill Senior Living. Born and raised in Columbia, NC, he was a proud WWII Army Veteran and retired from the Amstar Corporation in Philadelphia. Chester was once an active member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church of Merchantville and had lived in the Cherry Hill area for the last 50 years. Predeceased by his parents, Levi and Alma Armstrong, his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Frances Armstrong (nee Mazieka) and his daughter Martha Nasife (nee Armstrong), he is survived by his granddaughter: Michele Nasife-Brown and her husband Stephen of Maple Shade, his great-grandson: Michael Brown and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11 am Saturday, October 11, at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 North Forklanding Rd, Maple Shade, NJ. Entoumbment will follow in Bethel Memorial Park, Pennsauken. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
