Helen F Acker

Helen F. (nee Nowakowski) Acker age 93 of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on December 7, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Delran before moving to Maple Shade. Helen was a parishioner of St. Casimirs R.C. Church and a member of its senior citizens group and was a member of the Delran senior citizens group. She also worked at the Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine store. Beloved wife of the late John Acker, Sr. and sister of the late Joseph and Bernard Nowakowski, loving mother of John, Jr. and Rosemary Acker of Maple Shade, cherished grandmother of John III (Jennifer) Acker, Heidi (Scott) Wahl, James Acker, Nancy Acker, Robert Acker, Kevin (Lauren) Acker, dear sister of Alfred (Bette) Nowakowski, adoring great grandmother of John IV, Lindsey and Grace, also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 14th, 10AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment-Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown,Pa. Relatives and friends are invited to Helen's viewing and visitation with the family Friday evening 7-9 pm and Saturday 8:30-9:30 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, at the above address.
