Jessica A. "Shorty" (nee Doorman) Carey age 41 of Maple Shade passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Camden, she was a lifelong resident of Maple Shade. She worked for Flanagan's Towne Auto Body in Maple Shade as a secretary. Jessica was a member of the VFW Post 1270 Ladies Auxiliary, Pennsauken. Jessica was the devoted mother of Matthew C. Ferren and Joshua H. Carey, loving stepmother of Emily Carey, beloved daughter of Mary Ann and the late Chester Ferren, dear sister of John Doorman, Susan Doorman, Robert (Carla) Doorman, Richard Doorman, Amanda (Greg) Ferren, caring stepsister of Dolly (Ken) Nicholson and Chester "Skip" (Trisha) Ferren, special aunt to Joey, Robby, Courtney, Timmy, Eva, Lucas, Veda, Ronin, Amy and Jesse. Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12th, 1pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with the family 11am-1pm on Tuesday.
