Andrew (Andy) L Walters, Sr

Andrew (Andy) L. Walters, Sr., January 14, 1941-November 1, 2013, of Maple Shade, NJ. Andy graduated from Moorestown High School 1959-60 class. He was a championship diver for Moorestown High School. He worked as a mailer in the production dept. at the Bulletin, then the Inquirer and ending his career and retiring from the Courier Post. Andy was a Gold Card Member of the Maple Shade 25 Club. Andy truly loved Maple Shade. Andy is survived by his beloved wife Linda D. Walters; his son Andrew L. Walters, Jr. of Cinnaminson; his daughters Margaret (Howard) Parry, of Palmyra, NJ and Andrea Walters of Riverton, NJ; also his grandchildren David (Colleen) Primavera, William and Steven Wagner and Danielle and Rachel Walters. Andy loved our entire crew of kids, also his stepchildren, Joseph (Gina) Driscoll of West Chester, PA; Ann (John) Vick of Suffolk, Va., Mary (Scott) Charnitsky of Pearland, Texas and Teresa (Joe) Costa, of California; step grandchildren Justin and Kristen Vick and Jason, Julia and Emma Charnitsky, also "GG" was survived by his most beloved great grandchildren David III and Izabelle Primavera. Andy was one of seven children born to his late parents John and Helen Walters, brother of the late Jack, Don and Rich, and survived by brothers Robert (Mary) and Dave; also sister Margaret (Stan) Wesolowski; and many nieces and nephews. Andy has so many friends who loved and cared about him. He is also survived by his children's mom and his friend, Helen Walters of Riverton. He was so proud to be an "Irishman". The world and all the people in it were better off in their lives for having the privilege of knowing our Andy, "friendly Andy from South Jersey". He will always be with us. Relatives and friends are invited to Andy's viewing and visitation with his family on Wednesday evening, November 6th 6-9pm and Thursday morning 9:30-11:30am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, NJ. His funeral service will be held 11:30am on Thursday. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a veterans organization of the donor's choice.
