Edward W. Smith age 79 of Marlton passed away on Sunday,October 20th, 2013. Born in Stillwater, Pa., Ed had resided in Maple Shade for the last 37 years before moving to Marlton 16 years ago. Ed was a retired self -employed carpenter and owner of Smitty's Construction. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5714. Beloved husband of Clare (nee Fink) Smith, just celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary, loving father of Barbara A. (Michael) McCloskey, Richard J.(Paulette) Smith, Edward W.(Julia) Smith, Theresa M.(Mark) Rykala, Daniel E.(Darlene) Smith, and John E.(Lisa) Smith, dear grandfather of 10, brother of James (Kate) Smith and Esther Siewert, brother-in-law of Richard (Ann) Fink and Julia Fink, also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 25th, 11AM Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment-Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with the family on Thursday evening 7-9PM and Friday morning 9-10:30AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N.
